Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, best known for her role in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Haiin Koun..! Her career began as a performer during the 80s. She became famous for the movie Tezaab with an established actor Anil Kooor. The next film she appeared in was Dil where she was on screen with Aamir. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she started learning dance at an early age. As a teen, she attempted acting, but most of those early films failed. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and she was one of the most well-known actresses within the Indian film industry. The actress took a hiatus from acting following her marriage before returning to the entertainment industry. In recent times, she was in an important performance as a character in Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women in India. Dixit won eight Filmfare Awards out of the 15 she was up for nominations. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India is bestowed to her. Social work by her is known to the world.
